Just Because It Can be Pedaled – Does not Mean it Must be Pedaled
The ULGV approach uses bicycle efficiency, aircraft design and modern composites as a new approach to achieve vehicle development objectives. The key virtue of this design process that is unique to Pedalectric is not that it creates a pedaled vehicle - but that it creates a vehicle light enough to be pedaled.
If automobile development followed cell phones and computers, then:

- Our cars should be cheaper
- Our cars should be lighter and more durable
- Our cars should carry more new (cool) technology every year.
The Bicycle Paradigm
The bicycle is perhaps the closest we will ever get to a perfect form of transportation, at up to 90% of human energy converted into motion. The bicycle is several times faster than walking, carries cargo and bike development has always focused on improving performance and adding features while simultaneously achieving lighter weight. The bike has been a great engineering launch pad.
The Aircraft Analogy

- High strength
- Low weight
- Extreme durability
- Aerodynamic efficiency
Energy Source Agnostic
In evolution, it’s hard to pick a winner. So instead of tying the Pedalectric to a single source of power, we designed our vehicles to use every source of power and let the laws of physics pick the winner.
Pedalectric can use all of the following – and more:
- Batteries – all types
- Fuel cells – all types
- Small ethanol engines
- Natural gas fired engines
- Gasoline engines (49cc) from mopeds and scooters.
Form Factor and Open Source Design
Pedalectrics borrows form factor management from the computer industry. Form Factor is the practice of standardizing add-on cards and slots in computers; in the Pedalectrics, we first match the ISO’s international standards in every way possible, then publish the additional standards needed to permit power source developers to build to a specific form that allows their newly developed technologies to go to work immediately in our vehicles. No waiting to design a car when you’ve got one waiting for your engineersing to finish up.
We expect technology developed today to be working in our vehicles tomorrow.
Manufacturing - The Cross License Agreement
The innovation that starts with a revolutionary vehicle shouldn’t end in a dinosaur of a monster factory. Pedalectric plans to build a number of small manufacturing facilities across the US, strategically located near the most innovative regional engineering universities and existing manufacturing facilities, and to encourage the rapid development of advance technology wit the cross-licensing agreement that allows all of regional manufacturers to buy and use the latest technology developments.
Technical Abstract will be available soon. Contact: Pedalectric@prsvcs.com
